Becky Lynch: I’m Going To Hold Onto Women’s Title So I Can Face Rhea Ripley Again
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Becky Lynch has her sights set on a rematch with Rhea Ripley.

Rhea Ripley beat Becky Lynch at WWE WrestleMania 40 to retain the Women’s World Championship. Ripley was subsequently forced to relinquish the title due to injury. Lynch then won a battle royal for the vacant championship on the April 22 episode of WWE RAW.

WWE posted a new video on their YouTube channel that provided a behind-the-scenes look at the battle royal. Before the match, Becky Lynch made it clear that she wanted to win the gold and face Ripley once she returned.

“If I win that title, no, when I win that title, I’m going to be hanging on to it for dear life so that when Rhea comes back, we can dance again,” Lynch said.

Later in the video, Becky Lynch commented on her victory.

“Yeah, it’s worth it,” Becky Lynch said. “It’s worth it, man, because this is what we do this for. This is why we leave home every week. This is why we sacrifice our bodies. It’s to hold this, to become better, and make this better. That’s what I’m gonna do. I’m gonna make this better. It’s a beautiful thing. I can’t wait to show my husband and my baby, and hanging [it] up proud on the mantle.”
