Kylian Mbappé will reportedly leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires in June. Many expect the Frenchman to join Real Madrid as a free agent, and while the Spanish will boast an impressive team, one expert says they’re not invincible.

It’s a matter of when, not if, Mbappé joins Los Blancos, and the La Liga team will have a formidable attack. Real Madrid will have Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, and even Endrick to lean on to provide an offensive punch to go along with the Frenchman.

Despite these offensive weapons at the disposal of manager Carlo Ancelotti, former Bayern Munich player Stefan Effenberg notes that Real Madrid are still a beatable team in the UEFA Champions League.

“In this case, we will be at the beginning of a new era,” Effenberg told Diario AS (h/t Le10Sport). “But the competition is not sleeping. Bayern, [Manchester] City, and others will always be there.

“Madrid will be favorites for everything, but the arrival of Mbappé does not make them invincible. When Pep Guardiola arrived at City, everyone thought he was going to win the Champions League every year, and so far he has won one.”

Diario AS recently shared an update on Mbappé and Real Madrid, mentioning that the PSG sensation is set to pocket an annual salary of approximately €15 million after taxes, along with 80 percent of his image rights. This boost could almost double his yearly income.
