Lions sell out season-ticket packages despite price increases

The Detroit Lions were the feel-good story of the 2023 National Football League season.

The long-moribund franchise, which had been a league laughingstock for the entirety of recent memory, exploded into one of the league's best and most entertaining teams last season.

The Lions went 12-5 to win the NFC North division title and won two playoff games. The division crown was the first in 30 years and Detroit had not won a playoff game since the 1991 season. The home playoff games were also the first in more than 30 years.

The Lions even led the San Francisco 49ers by 17 points at halftime in the NFC Championship Game on the road before a heartbreaking collapse in the second half.

A big part of Detroit's success was its home-field advantage provided by the sold-out, raucous and incredibly loud atmosphere of Ford Field.

But, there is no discount for the fans that provided that edge. They're paying more.

Despite some season-ticket packages doubling in price, the Lions have sold out all of their season-ticket packages for the second consecutive season.

There is a waiting list for the 2025 season and future campaigns but there is a $100 deposit per ticket to join. The deposit will be applied to the eventual purchase of a package.

Detroit averaged 64,850 per home game last season.

The team held back a limited number of single-game tickets, which are scheduled to be made available through the team website and Ticketmaster on Wednesday evening after the NFL releases its full schedule.
